In a moment of pride for Indian cinema, ‘Ansuni Chinkhe’, a short film written and directed by Dr. Parthasarathi Mahanta, has made waves at the prestigious Jaipur International Film Festival.
The film, produced by Smt. Mina Mahanta and Smt. Indrani Baruah, was screened in the Worldwood International Panorama under the international competition category. Held from January 17th to January 21st, 2025, the 17th edition of the festival saw a record-breaking 2,408 entries from 88 countries.
The sole character of the film, portrayed by the renowned actress Smt. Seema Biswas, earned her the Best Actress Award. Adding to the accolades, Dr. Parthasarathi Mahanta was honored with the Best Director Award in the short film category.
This remarkable recognition at one of the largest non-government film festivals in the country underscores the global appeal and excellence of Indian storytelling.
