The third international solar energy workshop was organised at Indian Habitat Center, Delhi on 30th of August. The objective was to create awareness in the society about solar energy and to attract commercial prospects for this highly effective source of energy.
Many eminent personalities participated in this programme including Dr. Sandeep Marwah ( ICMI President), S.P Tripathi ( Retired Administrative Officer) Dr. K.D Gupta, Upendra Tripathi, Subhash Agarwal and Dr. Veerendra Goswami.
Founder of Marwah Studios, Mr. Sandeep Marwah at this programme expressed his opinion and said that today government and society, both are needed to work towards solar energy in order to conserve our natural resources. He commented on the present scenario and said that today it is a matter of worry that solar energy production in India is even less than a percent of the total energy production of the country. He also reminded the people that petroleum, coal and other sources of energy are scarce and we can’t expect to use them for a longer period of time. But, solar energy is a renewable sources of energy and thus by using it more and more we can save our atmosphere by keeping it pollution free.
