The second day of the three day event, 7th Global Festival of Journalism, at Marwah Studios was inspirational as many famous and eminent personalities of the media industry such as senior journalist Saeed Ansari, senior radio commentator Kulwinder Singh Kang, High Commission of Ghana Michelle Aeron, Counselate General of Komroz KL Ganju, Sunil Dang, Paul Song and Aunel Uka were present.
The program was aimed at giving a platform to those who want to carve their way in the field of journalism. The event was head started by the Deep Prajvalan ceremony.Famous radio commentator Kulvinder Singh Kang said in the event, “it is very fortunate that I got to speak with the ambitious youth of today. It is challenging to maintain credibility in journalism but to keep an eye on everything going around is our moral responsibility.” Saeed Ansari said that to have a deep understanding of each and every thing is the foremost ingredient of becoming a good journalist.
The president of ICMEI, Sandeep Marwah said, ” Marwah Studios is an organisation of India where a festival is celebrated to acknowledge the importance of media. It is the second in the world and first in the country to have gained such heights in the field of journalism.” He also discussed about various new courses started at AAFT which are well versed in equipping the students the best and latest knowledge.
On the second day of the Global Festival of Journalism a poster was also released on International Radio Day to mark the relevance of radio even today.All the dignitaries present in the festival shared their ideas with the audience and highlighted on the disadvantages as well as pros of the media. It was conveyed that though media is going through a tough time, we should not forget the role it has always played in keeping our democracy strong and healthy.
