The International Journalism Center organised the seventh gala Global Festival of Journalism at Noida situated Marwah Studios. Conducted in the premises of ICMEI, this event was an ineffable opportunity for all those students who want to carve their way in the field of media and journalism.
The three day event starting from 12th Feb and ending on 14th of Feb was graced by the presence of eminent and intellectual personalities of the society who made the audience realize the relevance and importance of media. The event was attended by the ambassador of Bosnia, Mr. Muhamed Cengik, Roman Masarik from Embassy of Czech Republic, Azerbaijan ambassador Ashraf Shikhaliyev, Prof. K G Suresh, Sakshi Joshi, Pradeep Gupta and many others.
To give the event an auspicious beginning, it was commenced with the Deep Prajvalan ceremony. The center of attraction of the festival was the photography exhibition which was adored by the audience. The exhibition brilliantly portrayed the beauty of photography, an art which has the capability of preserving the moments so that it can be cherished by the posterity.
The founder of Marwah Studios, Sandeep Marwah said that the festival was started seven years ago and today it has achieved great heights in such a short span of time. He highlighted the importance of still photography and said, “it is not possible to make movies without still photography because a lot of scenes can only be projected through still photography and thus enhances the importance of it”.
The president of Press Club of India, Neeraj Thakur and Director General of IIMC, Prof. K G Suresh appreciated the Marwah Studios and its founder Sandeep Marwah. They said that he is a man of brilliance and the contribution that he has given in the field of media can never be forgotten.
Senior Journalist Sakshi Malik focused on the emerging trends of fake news and cautioned the audience against it saying, “as a journalist this is our responsibility to get past fake news and be awarded of the negativity it spreads in the community.”
